Last summer, a few beloved EHL students visited 3 of the best-known bars of Lausanne and tried their most famous cocktails.
Interviews, video shots and tastings being over, here are the recipes and tips to realize them at home. Don’t hesitate to have a look on our Instagram page (@ecolehotelieredelausanne) to watch talented bartenders preparing the cocktails.
Once you feel ready, take out your shakers and have fun!
1. The Pink Sour @LePointu, Lausanne
Le Pointu opened its door for us to discover the great Pink Sour. Impress your friends with this delicious creation. Easy to make and excellent, the floor is yours!
Ingredients:
-75 mL of homemade grapefruit and lemon infused gin
-20 mL of sugar cane syrup
-25 mL of fresh lemon juice
-a slice of grapefruit and a sprig of thyme
Recipe:
- For the infused gin:
Fill a jar with dry grapefruits, lemon fruits and of course, gin. Then, shake the jar and wait half an hour to get the preparation ready to use.
- For the cocktail
-Shake all the liquids with ice
-Double strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice
-Garnish with a slice of fresh grapefruit and a sprig of thyme
2. The Andalusia @EatMe, Lausanne
For this second cocktail, our team went to the famous Eat Me bar in Lausanne to check out the very trendy Andalusia. Fresh ingredients and high quality spirits are combined to take you on a worldwide journey…
Ingredients:
-6 cL of Tanqueray gin
-3 red pepper stripes
-2 cL of rosemary & chorizo syrup
-a few dashes of BBQ bitter
Recipe:
-crush the pepper in the shaker
-shake it all with ice
-double strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice
-garnish with a slice of chorizo (Yes, a slice of chorizo), beetroot sugar and fried rosemary
3. The Lady Lover @L’instant B, Lausanne
For the last cocktail highlight, the cosy bar L’instant B welcomed us to reveal some of the Lady Lover preparation secrets. Once again, you’ll find the recipe as well as some savoir-faire tips to make this exceptional beverage at home. Cheers!
Ingredients:
-half a lime
-15 cL of dark rum
-2 cL of orgeat syrup
-4 cL of red orange liquor
Recipe:
-Squeeze the lime into the shaker
-Shake all the ingredients with ice
-Strain the preparation into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice
-Garnish with an orange slice, spice and mint leaves
