For the 6th edition of EHL Success Stories, we welcomed 8 of our Alumni to share their success. The topic this year was sustainability.

Who is Alexandre Badoux?

Alexandre Badoux (AEHL 2014) is the Chief Operating Officer at Farmy.ch

Swiss start-up in online retailing of ethical food with very low environmental impact.

After a short career as hotel director in Africa and Center America, Alexandre joined Farmy.ch as Operations Manager at an early stage to be able to have a positive impact on the world and be part of a fast-growing industry. Growing with the company, he is now its COO.

Can you describe yourself when you started EHL in one word versus now?

When I started EHL I would say I was a dreamer... and now a BIG dreamer!

What are the best moments you keep from your studies at EHL?

The everyday atmosphere: The EHL spirit!

Looking at where you stand today, how do you think EHL made a difference in your life?

EHL gave me the best tools to perform in my career. Creativity, curiosity, customers and employee focus, transversality, team work, hands on management and deep processes understanding. Those skills with the best and friendliest network allow me to always find solution to everything.

What were the most rewarding experiences during your studies at EHL?

Committees, students, management, staff and teachers supporting me on a personal social project and help me to make it happen.

How do you see your career evolving?

EHL enables me to go anywhere I want and therefore follow my heart to do what makes me happy.

What would you advise young people that are not sure about their career aspirations?

TRY!! In order to find what you truly like, don’t be afraid to take any challenges, be ambitious and accept to fail. Stand up, try again, fail again. Always learn from it and you will therefore find what truly makes you happy and where you are the best at. It will bring you to the top way faster than any “safe” career path.
