Madrid has a lot to offer! From amazing food, to great cultural opportunities, Latino nights out, and strolling in the parks, it has it all!
Here are a few things you should not miss during your next visit to the Spanish capital:
Where to stay?
- Hotel NH Madrid Lagasca: this 4-star hotel is in the famous Salamanca area, the luxury and designer shops’ district. It is ideally located in the city, close from the centre and the main attractions, yet in a quiet area. It is only a 15-minute walk from the Retiro park, where you can enjoy the sun and escape from the city! PS: they have the most comfortable beds ever!
Where to eat?
Madrid is a real goldmine when it comes to food. You would need years to visit all the incredible hidden gems it has! But if you have to choose, here are some suggestions:
- Café Federal: this is THE place for a Sunday brunch. There is no need to book, and they have an amazing menu! You can even enjoy your food on the terrace, making the most of Madrid’s everlasting sun.

- Ana La Santa: this restaurant is a bit more on the expensive side, even though Madrid is very affordable, and is on Plaza Santa Ana. It is divided into different atmospheres, which makes it very cosy, while maintaining a chic feel. The food is very tasty, and lots of work goes into it. A party for your taste buds!
- Chocolatería San Ginés: visiting Madrid and not having a Chocolate con churros at San Ginés would not make the experience complete! Expect a queue, but it will definitely be worth it! Where else would you be able to dip pastries into luxurious chocolate, if not there?
- Zara: this restaurant is in the Chueca area, and serves truly authentic Cuban food! The owners are really friendly and you are guaranteed a genuine experience!
